Tree Necklace
When I saw this image today at Dexinaworld (the original image is black and white), my first thought was, 'that would make an awesome necklace!'. So I brainstormed and made it into one. I am pretty proud of the fact that I didn't go out and buy jewelry clasps, or something to adhere it to. I just looked around the house to see what I had and used it.
This picture is better. It shows my coloring and the image much more clearly. As you may be able to tell, I cut out and adhered the image onto a black bottle top (the bigger ones, like what sports drinks have). I then attached a piece of cardboard to the back (to keep it from scratching my neck), and used a colored energy drink tab to weave some ribbon through (my husband drinks the energy drinks, just to clarify). You could probably color a pop top just as easily.
And there you have it, one earthy (and made from recycled materials) necklace!
