I am one of those creative types that disguise it well by teaching children and making cards. How else am I going to get to color, cut and paste?! Honestly, though, art is an important part of life that often gets pushed out of the school districts when they need to cut funds. Sad. In order to teach all students we need to reach all students, and for some students that is through art, music, sports, history, reading etc. Let's use their interests to our advantage!
